Recontres d’Arles is celebrating its 50th anniversary this year - and Kehrer Galerie is part of the festival during the opening week again.

For the first time, the gallery will be situated at Manuel Rivera Ortiz MRO Foundation, just a few steps away from Place de la République, showcasing works by Mozambican photographer Mário Macilau. His series 'Growing in Darkness‘ unveils one layer deeper in the social fabric of Maputo where Macilau lives and grew up, turning its focus upon the world of local street children. Since 2017, Macilau is represented by Kehrer Galerie.

Also part of the gallery will be a bookspace where you can purchase and have a look at Kehrer’s newest publications. In addition, you will have the chance to get your copies signed by the photographers themselves on the following dates:
